Day 1
Depart the UK and fly to Vancouver today. Enjoy an early evening stroll along the waterfront and a meal at one of the city's many fabulous restaurants.
Day 2
Spend the day exploring downtown Vancouver, wander along the scenic seawall that stretches around Stanley Park, or explore the lively neighbourhood of Gastown where you will find an array of creative cafes and restaurants.
Day 3
Collect your car hire and head east in to the Okanagan region, where the vineyards roll down to the lakeside. This drive takes you through some lovely little country towns, such as Hope and Merritt, and past some very scenic lookout points.
Day 4
Enjoy a morning at leisure - perhaps have wander along Kelowna's pretty waterfront – then, later on, join a fantastic wine tour that will take you to several local vineyards and give you the opportunity to sample some of the region’s best produce.
Day 5
Today you drive through the rolling interior of British Columbia to Revelstoke, tucked away on the western side of the Rocky Mountain foothills. If you have time this afternoon take a wander around this tranquil little town.
Day 6
Take a beautiful drive through Glacier and Yoho National Parks in to the Rocky Mountains, crossing the border in to Alberta and making your way to Lake Louise. Stop here and stretch your legs before continuing on to Banff.
Day 7
With your day in Banff we recommend taking a ride on the gondola for amazing 360 degree views. There is also an interesting interpretive centre at the top. Afterwards, have a look around the town, visit Cave & Basin National Historic Site or drive to nearby Lake Minnewanka for further lakefront views.
Day 8
Drive along the magnificent Icefields Parkway to Jasper today, with spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery the whole way. Stop at some of the famous viewpoints such as Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefields, Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls.
Day 9
Enjoy a morning in Jasper – have a look around the town or drive out to Maligne Lake for fantastic views of the mountains. Later on, take a wildlife viewing tour – at dusk animals such as bears, elk and coyotes are on the move and this is a great time to look for them.
Day 10
Journey west through the Yellowhead Pass back in to British Columbia, passing Mount Robson, the Canadian Rockies’ highest peak then stopping to do a one hour, boat-based wildlife safari at Blue River. From here it’s a scenic drive to Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Day 11
Get in to the heart of the pristine environment of Wells Gray today, with a half or full day walk led by an excellent local guide. You will learn about the ecology and geology of the area and may even be lucky enough to see some wildlife wandering in the meadows.
Day 12
Drive from Clearwater to Whistler today, a fairly long but scenic journey. You will pass through several lovely little country towns such as Cache Creek and Lillooet, and past some beautiful viewpoints, such as this one at Seton Lake (just past Lillooet).
Day 13
This morning join a guided kayaking trip through the backwaters of Whistler, keeping an eye for wildlife along the way. Then enjoy a stroll around the town and perhaps just watch the world go by outside one of the many cafes in the pedestrianised area.
Day 14
Enjoy a final morning in this alpine town then make your way to Vancouver airport for your flight home.
