The Ritz-Carlton is very much a part of Montreal’s hospitality history, setting a new standard of luxury when it first opened in 1912. This ‘Grande Dame’ of hotels closed its doors in 2008 and underwent a four-year refurbishment which completely re-styled the property. The interior now combines classy, contemporary furnishings and ultra-modern amenities but cleverly retains its historic charm with the use of original features in the lobby and antique furniture in the guestrooms.

The rooms and suites offer superb comfort, high-tech amenities such a light motion sensors and electronic blinds, and floor to ceiling windows with views out over the city. Maison Boulud is an innovative French restaurant that takes a large bite of inspiration from the lively street culture of the city. In the beautifully elegant Palm Court lobby you will find the Dom Perignon Bar, the first of its kind in Canada, and beneath the chandeliers you can also take a famous Ritz afternoon tea – the century old tradition for which the hotel has earned an impeccable reputation. Other facilities include an indoor saltwater swimming pool, fitness centre, rooftop terrace and in-room massage service.
