Tekarra Lodge is situated in a scenic location about a five minute drive out of Jasper township, situated on a bluff that overlooks the Athabasca River. Here you will find a range of traditional, rustic wooden cabins set amongst towering pines, all equipped for self-catering and simple comfort, with full kitchen and dining area, wood burning fireplace, comfortable lounge seating area, and deck from which to gaze at the mountain views. Some have a separate bedroom whilst some are studio style with a bed in the main living area, and in places the décor is slightly dated. However, there are no televisions, telephones or Wi-Fi here so you can really relax without any distractions, and such quietitude encourages a range of wildlife to meander through the grounds – you may see elk, deer, squirrels, pine martins and of course various birds. There is a restaurant on site which is open for breakfast and dinner, serving a fine selection of traditional and creative food, and to work off the delicious food there are many walking trails around the property as well as bikes available for rental.
